trinityvixen | Okay, here we go: the short-short version...

A longer update is forthcoming, but you people, whom I love, needed some postings, so I did and have promptly needed to get away from the computer. The reason being I was diving this weekend and today it was off a boat. Which was yawing heavily. And I'm prone to seasickness, apparently really vulnerable as I DID take medicine for it and was still feeling ucky. Yes, well, I hadn't been sick as yet because I had yet to sit and read anything, and now the room is yawing...*eyes go all crossy* I'm going to boot (a common euphemism around here, just so's you know Liz M) all over my readings for film. Well, that's a reason not to do them...again.

Basically, I was certified this weekend as an open water diver! Had a fantabulous time, am sore, tired, sunburnt, and not sure about my sanity after diving in 11 C water...er, that's about 50 F. Nice people, saw some fishes, may go again (am very obviously INSANE) in a couple of weeks or may go to Tassy or cross-country skiing. If it all works out, the only weekends in August that I'll spend in Melbourne are the ones with Carrie. Oh, wait, no....

Oh, and thanks for the suggestion I call my phone. I wish I'd thought of that before I left as by now the battery should have died and whoever it is has no way to recharge it. I'll try anyway. But tomorrow, providing there's still no news (and there hasn't been over the time I was gone, nor was there when I called Saturday morning only to be told I should have given up by now), I'll have a new phone (mommy is letting me splurge for it because what mommy doesn't know about why I left behind in a cab won't hurt her).
