I AM...THE MAY MOVIE!

After all the waiting, it's finally here! Hurrah, we see Iron Man on Friday!
I'm thinking of theaters--two, actually. One is the Loews on 84th and B'way. Not usually as popular a place with people (so probably less craziness than trying to see something at Lincoln Square like last year), but it's a good theater, and there's stuff around there if people want to pick up candy or do dinner.
The other option is the always popular 34th between 8th and 9th aves. The main attraction of this theater was that it was, inexplicably, cheaper than all the other Loews in the city. A quick search of Fandango shows me that this seems to no longer be the case. Oh well, it's a perfectly fine theater as well.
I think the real choice is movie time. 84th: 7:45. 34th: 7:00 or 10:00. I'm thinking 7:45 works best, but you should all vote now or forever hold your peace.

Date: 2008-04-28 03:19 pm (UTC)I also prefer the 34th Street theater, but either will do. Tickets are actually already for sale online, so I suspect we should decide soon.

I can probably pick up some tickets at the box office to save the service charge, say, tomorrow.

Date: 2008-04-28 07:14 pm (UTC)ETA: I see you wrote 84th instead of 34th - if that's not a typo then 7:45 is less problematic since we tend to be able to find parking up there.

Date: 2008-04-28 08:52 pm (UTC)I'm thinking that's what it has to be. The folk off the PATH would have an easier time of getting to thirty-fourth street, but it would be a hard thing for a bunch of us to get there anywhere early enough to get on line for good seats. 7:45 at 84th, a less populated theater, would be a better bet for most. (And it's earlier than a 10 pm one which would screw over the multiple train takers anyway.)
