Amazon had a 2-for-$10 sale and I am not buying anything. No, really! I couldn't find two movies I wanted, not even for $5! I RESiSTED! RESISTENCE IS NOT FUTILE!!

I can make no such claims. An Amazon gift certificate I was given for my birthday has gone towards D&D books. At least I didn't buy any more video games I won't have time to play...

Hey, you had gift monies. That's different that spending your own on stuff you don't need. Gift monies exist to buy stuff you don't need without wasting your own money!
