After this morning's nutsiness, I need to just be silly because otherwise I'll have a post-adrenic cry.

So, [livejournal.com profile] feiran, [livejournal.com profile] viridian and I were thrift-store shopping this weekend. I'm driving, using the GPS that we were graciously loaned by [livejournal.com profile] hslayer. As a result, I'm not really paying attention to destinations so much as the scenery en route.

We pass a street. It is called Jensen Avenue.

A minute ticks by in conspicuous silence.

Then I say to [livejournal.com profile] viridian, "Okay, I'm a total dork, but did you see the name of that street?!"

Giggles. "We are such dorks! 'Look! It's a street with Dumbfuck's name!' And we get all girly."

[livejournal.com profile] feiran, from the backseat: ::ROLLS EYES DERISIVELY::

Later, same trip, we pull up behind a recent model Impala.

Me: "Wow, those have changed since 1967."
[livejournal.com profile] viridian: "We are such losers. We know the make and model of the damned car from that show."
[livejournal.com profile] feiran: "I guess [livejournal.com profile] ivy03 is getting DEATH for Christmas this year." ([livejournal.com profile] ivy03 being responsible for me watching Supernatural, which has prompted [livejournal.com profile] viridian to finish it up on DVD, too.)

I was stuck with a recent Impala last time I rented. They suck. I'm carpooling with a bunch of fangirls to a convention this weekend. There was a move to rent an Impala just because it was an Impala. (There are five of us--did I mention? Can you say smooshed?) I sent an email that Dean would HATE the new Impala, he probably has RANTS about how Chevy ruined the Impala, and we should under no circumstances force ourselves to ride four hours crushed into one for the sake of the show.

Sanity prevailed. We are taking a van.

Hah! It's pervasive, this geekery.

Yes, I think that's implied by the "fangirls carpooling to a convention" comment.

I have about six episodes left to season two, and then I cool my heels until [livejournal.com profile] ivy03 has season three for me. Or I stop being a total leech and just netflix it. I'm having a lot more fun with the second season. Of course, I say that, but I just came off the atrocious werewolf episode. I choose to dwell on the happy: Tricia Helfer was awesome in the episode before that one! YAY SIX!
