The dreams you have when you're sick, apparently

I dreamt last night that I was joking with feiran and darkling1 about getting two more kittens for our place. Then dream-me went back to PetCo during adoption hours and picked up two kittens that were irresistable by virtue of looking just like our current cats. Except our cats are 1) black and white, and 2) gray, and the kittens I got were 1) black and white and 2) orange tabby.

I then had to go back to feiran and darkling1 and go, "Hey, remember how I was joking about getting more kittties? Um..."

And the rest of the dream alternated between me convincing them that I would make it work without killing darkling1 with pet dander and me freaking out because holy shit four cats is a lot of cats.

Actually, in the dream, I felt guilty as hell for bringing home kittens when I have such lovable, brilliant babies. I would feel worse guilt if I ever tried to get another cat. I'd feel like I was telling them they weren't good enough, and they're honestly brilliant cats.

...I hope you don't mean in the intelligence sense, because I remember you telling me about a certain kitties' COMPLETE FAILURE at jumping six inches...

besides, I promise you they wouldn't feel like they weren't good enough -- they know you exist to serve them. If anything they'd think the other kitties were for you to practice being a better mother to them...

Must've been. I needs to get me a kitty icon. I should probably make it one of my cats, too. Because not having my cats as my cat icon would ALSO make me feel guilty.
