I'm tired of being angry, so I'm going to just babble about something else. Indulge me, ignore me, whichever you choose.

-Tales from the Crypt is excellent for judging sense of humor and strength of stomach. I figured that out this weekend when my two younger sisters watched it with me and one was horrified by it and the other totally into it. The way I see it, it's like the icon I'm using on this post. If you can't appreciate how absurd the thing is that you're seeing, you won't think it's funny. One sister flinched, the other made predictions about how the story would end. To my mind, one is wrong, the other is right, even though I sort of share both their reactions to it. Each episode has something that makes me laugh and makes me squeeze my eyes shut against gross-osity. Good times.

-I'm a few episodes from the end of season two of Supernatural. I managed to, mostly, explain the driving forces of plot to [livejournal.com profile] feiran as she and I watched an episode together, so I'm pretty proud of myself for that. However, what I really need to relate to the world at large is that [livejournal.com profile] feiran admitted that Dumbfuck (aka Dean aka Jensen Ackles) is, quote, "pretty." Granted, she qualified that with "oh, only in this one picture [livejournal.com profile] ivy03 showed me" but I have my doubts. Because she did volunteer to watch that episode with me and had me explain the season to her...

-Speaking of Supernatural, though: most of the women writing fanfic for Iron Man appear to be fans of the show. Weird demographic fallout, or what?

-My dad was given Scene It--the 2nd Movie Edition--for his Father's Day gift. I STILL DOMINATE AT THAT GAME. I pouted mightily, however, when (EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY WON THE GAME) someone got a screen shot of Neo's computer at the start of The Matrix for one of their questions. RAR!

Man, I haven't seen Tales from the Crypt in years! I remember liking some of them and thinking others were just too stupid. But I don't know about right or wrong--I think it's just a matter of taste. Of course I prefer it when people like the same things I do, but we can't win them all over. :)

Dumbfuck was a topic of conversation at lunch last week. Feiran was mocking his expression. She was protesting an *awful* lot, though. :)

We still need to play Scene-It some time. You'll probably kick my butt, but it'd be fun.

I don't expect everyone to like Tales from the Crypt, nor does anyone have to. Not all of them are that great. But they're generally so fun and feed right into the schadenfreude we all have about the bad guys who are really bad getting their comeuppance and the bad guys who are just awesome screwing the other guys over. It's part of the fun to imagine a world that could be so righteous.

[livejournal.com profile] feiran doth protest too much, say we? She told me recently that the only reason I think Dumbfuck is cute is because he looks like Katee Sackhoff. I say not true. I also don't like him in the picture she said [livejournal.com profile] ivy03 showed her because he looks like a 90210 reject. And, oddly, like Chase on House.

SOMEONE WILL PLAY SCENE IT WITH ME! HURRAH! Scene It tournament. Must set this up.

Clearly, what needs to happen is that you, feiran, and ecmyers (and possibly ivy03 as well, though it's farther for her) should come out here one night--we'll eat, drink, and then drink more and play Scene It. :)

Personally, i find your icon effing hilarious. LOL! As for Tales From the Crypt, I am in the predicting camp, but often flinch at the horrible puns.

As far as castmembers on Supernatural, I was always more interested in Jo than in the guys, but she's still too young. Still, Padalecki's abs fascinate me.

I have never played Scene It, but it sounds like fun! :)

I am going to go do some laundry, bake some cookies, and start reading Spook. :)

Of the two ladies, the mom is way hotter. Gotta love a woman knows her way around a bar and a shotgun. And the fact that she wasn't just thrown in there as love interest makes her a hundred percent more awesome. Love Ellen.

Enjoy Spook!

At the 2008 Toy Fair they showed Seinfeld and Star Trek editions of Scene It! (coming in fall 08 and spring 09 respectively). Maybe you could be defeated at THOSE? MAYBE? (I'm just afraid if you amass any more power you're going to become some sort of Scene It! supervillain.)
