Jun. 18th, 2008 07:52 pmSomething about leaving work today made me go, I need some ridiculous shoes.
One stop to Payless later...
I now have a decent pair of flats, some fun heels for fall, a pair of those open-toed "sneakers" with a heel, and these platform-y faux cork-colored pumps. They screamed "THESE ARE SHOES YOU BUY WHEN ALL YOU WANT IS SHOES." I will probably never find an excuse to wear them, so I'm wearing them now as I lay on my bed. I feel totally decadent.
Tomorrow, I will probably panic and try to return all of these. Especially when I consider those $5 ridiculous shoes I bought and tried to wear for
viridian's bachelorette party. (I ended up going to Duane Reade and buying and wearing house slippers around the city.)

Date: 2008-06-19 01:26 pm (UTC)These are the flats. (http://www.payless.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?&TLC=Womens&SLC=WomensCasuals&BLC=WomensPromoFlats&Width=Regular&ItemCode=60024&LotNumber=062243&Type=Adult&Popularity=176&DescriptiveColor=Green) They are so sensible, it hurts, but I never, never, never had flats that fit so well and didn't make me feel stupid.
The sneaker-pumps I got are like these but with a peep-toe and a sling-back. (http://www.payless.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?&TLC=Womens&SLC=WomensCasuals&BLC=WomensCasualsTrendy&Width=Regular&ItemCode=59548&LotNumber=062209&Type=Adult&Popularity=512&DescriptiveColor=Red) I'll wear those out at least.
I can't find a picture of the fall-appropriate heels, but they're this shape (http://www.payless.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?&TLC=Womens&SLC=WomensDress&BLC=WomensDressTrendy&Width=Regular&ItemCode=55362&LotNumber=046689&Type=Adult&Popularity=2835&DescriptiveColor=Black/Flat) in this color. (http://www.payless.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?&TLC=Womens&SLC=WomensShoes&BLC=WomensDressTrendy&Width=Regular&ItemCode=60050&LotNumber=062325&Type=Adult&Popularity=195&DescriptiveColor=Tan)
And, finally, the ridiculosity shoes. (http://www.payless.com/Catalog/ProductDetail.aspx?&TLC=Womens&SLC=WomensDress&BLC=WomensDressSandals&Width=Wide&ItemCode=59497&LotNumber=060767&Type=Adult&Popularity=242&DescriptiveColor=Tan) Yeah, I'm breaking ankles if I try to wear those anywhere.

Date: 2008-06-19 01:38 pm (UTC)I still dont see them being deserving of the term 'ankle breaking' though
