Batman's history is still history.

Date: 2008-07-18 10:18 pm (UTC)Tho I will say this: Batman's initial dark and gritty period started with Detective Comics #27, and ended ... with Detective Comics #38, about a year later, when Robin appeared on the scene. It's hard to be dark and brooding when you have a teenager in a Christmas-colored leotard running around with you. I think it's telling that none of the "good" Batman movies have Robin in them.
