...You watch a demon get tossed into a trunk from which he cannot escape because of a sigil and think Whoa, the driver's got a trunk of holding.

You know you've really been at the RPG arcana too long when you then start arguing with yourself that [blanks] of holding don't work that way...

(I don't even play this stuff! I've been reading webcomics about RPGs too much.)

No, no, see, a trunk of holding would be awesome, because it would be able to hold 100 times its apparent volume.

What you're looking at is the creation of Sealed Evil in a Can.

See, I knew enough to know I had it wrong. That's pretty bad right there.

Pretty soon you'll be buying your own twenty-siders and writing posts about how much D&D 4E rocks/sucks. Down the slippery slope with you!

Nevah!

For starters, I couldn't afford new hobbies right now even if someone else paid for them. (Thank you, sick kitty.) Also, it would make me such a neeeeeerddd. I'm already pretty dangerously nerdy.

Non-minature-based roleplaying is actually a remarkably cheap hobby. You really only need one book/set of books for the group, and a few dice. And if you're really cheap/poor, you either play a free system or download bootleg pdfs.

(Random: In theory, knitting is an expensive hobby. But I keep getting given knitting stuff and given the speed I'm using it, it'll last me years. So not so expensive after all.)

And I don't think you could actually get lower on the nerdy scale, even having given away many/most of your comic books.

It's true, I liquidated some of my geek cred with the comics.

Hobbies are expensive. I cross-stitch and that's expensive. For now, I'm going to just have to work on finishing up a bunch of projects instead of getting new ones.
