It doesn't have to be white privilege. Privilege is just as insidious in any form, but because our country's class imbalance skews along color lines (predominantly, though, of course, there are exceptions), it often manifests as racial.

Of course they're white Republican privileges. The reason is because the GOP has become the party of protecting white privilege, which is class privilege, too. The right to be shrill harpies, to lie with impunity, to ignore subpeonas--that's why we have "It's okay if you're a Republican." The Democrats got too cuddly with the non-white, poor crowd. They got kicked out of the privilege club. Any privileges they have are negatives. Hence, Obama, with his one house and a wife who also works is an elitist when a 72-year-old man with an heiress trophy wife is the "populist" candidate.

I was about to say, I also think there's a lot of, "It's okay if you're a Republican" going on here, with on a few examples of actual white privledge mixed in.
