1) I have finished the first season of The Sarah Connor Chronicles. That finale was awesome. Amazingly, it didn't feel as rushed as some shows' endings that were cut off by the writers' strike. I <3<3<3<3<3 Derek. Did I mention that already? Believe I did. He is awesome. He is also, to quote Bill and Ted, "handling the oddities of time travel with the greatest of ease"! And now that I have all of season two to date...excuse me, brb.

::back!::

2) I'm still catching up on last season's LOST. Just watched "The Constant." It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly adorable Desmond and Penny are. I love them with all the lovingly mighty, mightily loving love of which I am capable. ::cuddles them both::

SCC was added during the writer's strike though--so it was already in the can, and wouldn't have been affected by it.

It wasn't entirely finished before the strike. I know that it got cut off because there's zero reason otherwise why it would have lasted only nine episodes to the first season. Unless it were canceled, which it wasn't. In general, the oddities of every season of show that broadcast that got cut off shows in a) how "finished" their season finales felt or b) in the number of episodes squeaked out before the show went off the air.

(LOST is an exception to the rule because they announced they wanted shorter seasons for the last three seasons. Everyone else ending on 9-10-11-12-13 eps was basically shut down.)

'Scuse me, what I meant to indicate (and notice I did not), is that you're not wrong--SCC was "in the can," but only the first nine episodes. This is typical of most shows--they shoot to about nine episodes if the pilot is picked up and does well, with the rest of the episodes past that contingent on the first set doing well. So, yes, technically, SCC was finished, but they would have had more to season one were it not for the strike.

As is, they ended smartly and probably just moved what would have been season one stuff to season two.
