Put your MP3 player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the poem that results. The first line of the twenty-first is the title.

Move Yourself

How do you feel?

With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
I want somebody to share.

Meet me in outer space
Threw you the obvious and you flew.

We don't need no education.

Some boys kiss me, some boys hug me
Give me release

I'm never, ever going to see you again
I was angry when I met you.

Mississippi Queen
You'll be.

I like to dream, yes, yes, right between my sound machine.

Hate is what I feel for you;
Honesty is out of style.
I walk along the city streets you used to walk along with me.

Mother, the doctor knows something is wrong.
We are what we're supposed to be,
All of God's people:
What's lies?

I got a few songs that I have, honestly, NEVER listened to, but I was good and kept them in there. I was, however, judicious with the end-of-line punctuation to assist the poem's flow. (I also didn't put in a line from "Siroi Yami No Naka" because a) WTF, and b) no, really WTF?) Hilariously, the 22nd song was "Hubba Hubba Zoot Zoot," which would have ruined the EMOE PAIN that this poem conveyed, thanks to most songs coming up being in the rock genre. YE OLDE EMOE INTERNETS POEME FOR TEH WINZ!

Yay Yes! Which I shockingly didn't recognize. I recognized a lot of the other ones, though. Like Blue Oyster Cult.

You only had two words to go on, so I wouldn't beat yourself up too much over the Yes lyric.

The meme didn't say to post the songs, but I was going batty trying to figure some of them out on other posts, so I was trying to spare others.

Are you kidding? It's brilliant! Riotously funny. M&I will have to show it to you next time we see you. In the meantime, I'll email you this mp3.

Macy's has totally ruined that song for me. What a misfortune to have had access to TV and commercials when they were running their "Always Something there to excite me" ads.

And it's one that I've even listened to! I swear, I copied all their stuff to date when I was abroad, and I've listened to maybe three songs. (Just never got around to it.) I keep moving them to all relevant folders and such, but not listening to them especially. Maybe this will change it!
