1) Being in an apartment all day with two sick people.

2) Being in an apartment all day with two people who are sick with different things.

3) Stitching for more than 10 hours on average both weekend days.

4) Anything with vodka in it, apparently.

5) Listening to songs by Richard Cheese while handling sharp objects...Ouch!

6) The extended 'Director's Cut' of the Dawn of the Dead reamke

7) Not checking im's for days at a time/leaving up aways for more than two days

8) Too much Invader Zim.

9) Toilets that just keep running and running and running and running and running...because people kept forgetting to jiggle the handle while I was sitting there with my cross stitch stuff on my lap and couldn't get up...and running and running and running and running...

And, number 10, the worst thing that's happened to my sanity by far:

10) TOO MUCH SAILOR MOON

Never!

Oh, yes, you fucking can! My roommate bought the first two seasons. Save for the occasional "Dear God, is Tuxedo Mask trying to look that faggy, or does he just not get it!?" and the little "R!" when Sailor Moon shouts it alone, it's been pretty much torture for 90 episodes or however many there are. Being a good person and friend, I liked to sit with roomie while she watches (I stitched mostly), but it began to eat away at my brain. Saturday night, I think she watched it for, hmm, four-five hours straight? THAT IS TOO MUCH. God himself intervened Sunday night after about two hours and the last DVD didn't work. Whew.

And what is this about 'no such thing' as too much Invader Zim? My internal monologue was shouting at the end of every thought-sentence on Sunday. I watched it for maybe five hours! I am ZIM! Prepare to unleash flying temporal DOOM! That's sick, really. When you talk to yourself as Zim, it's time to stop.

ROFL

^______^

but sailor moon is fun as long as you make fun of it! -- me and my friend once watched like 6-7 episodes in one go, and we decided to make a game out of counting how many times an ep Sailor Moon threw a tantrum, or burst into tears... I think the record was six times in one episode! hehe.

(btw - was it the original Japanese version? because *that* would be interesting! ^___^ )

My internal monologue was shouting at the end of every thought-sentence on Sunday.

rofl sounds like me watching Empire Records while writing out my speech for chinese yesterday --- very lucky it didn't come out:
"...and my favourite TV show is - MY NAME'S NOT FUCKING WARREN!!!!!!!"

ROFL. Nice. Well, it was indeed the uncut Japanese version, which is why my roomie's sooooo excited about it! If you thought Sailor Moon was annoying in English....booooyyyyy howdy, is she WORSE in Japanese. More annoying, more whiney, more irritating, more pathetic, more hysterical....grating laugh, absolutely soul-shredding.

yes, but with lesbians instead of 'cousins' lol.....

I'd rather watch the uncut version than the censored one....

though I get what you mean about in Japanese -- the last few eps of Evangelion i have are in Jap for some reason instead of dubbed and..... argh! can't stand the voice actor for Asuka - and Misato and Shinji just sound cooler in the dubbed version......

Don't get me wrong, I go with subbed over dubbed ALL the time. Mostly because I think the voice acting isn't as ridiculous if you can't understand the language and the things that the Japanese seiyuus are doing to make it equally as stupid as the English voice actors. There are exceptions, and Sailor Moon is one of them. In English, she sounds like a dippy woman stuck in a girl's body, but in Japanese, she sounds like a baby in a teenager's body. This is usually NOT the case--anime is almost always better in Japanese--but if you listen to Usagi go "Uh-heh-heheheheheeheeeheheheheheh!!!111ONEONEONE!!!" it gets...well, let's just say you pray for death...hers.

6) The extended 'Director's Cut' of the Dawn of the Dead reamke

d00d, why is that bad? It's the only thing that made me happy all last week. Plus it seems to have brought my muse back from its vacation. <3 Jake Weber, <3 Michael and Ana.

I <3 that, too, but it was too disjointed! The film worked better with the subtler touches they put on in editing. The ending, for example, where survivor A watches survivor B on the dock? In the original, it's cut so that it's classy and impending DOOM, whereas in the Director's cut, it's rather crass and you see B put the gun to his/her head. Ick, not cool.

Plus, the extra explody-heads weren't all that and a bag of chips. They actually look like stuff that was cut for being too fake. Also, too much time wasted on focusing on the gun, keeping person shooting out of focus before, DUN DUN DUN! dramatic shoooting!

Meh, did like the M&A scene a little, but it made no sense. That was *so* not the time for that....

'Tis true. I agree with you there.

Heh, I wasn't there for the exploding heads, though, so I can't complain on that account. :) At least it wasn't CG, though. I can't tell you how happy it made me that they used practical effects. I love Star Wars and I love Industrial Light & Magic, but there IS such a thing as too much CG. I think it should be used to enhance, rather than replace, in film. Maybe that's just me refusing to flow with the times, but oh well.

Meh, did like the M&A scene a little, but it made no sense. That was *so* not the time for that....

Again, tres true, but it still made my creative juices stir a little. Who says they had to go all the way? I almost want to add that to my list of planned vignettes.

(Speaking of which, are you going to continue with your AU fic? I really want to see more of it.)

Yes, damn that DVD, it got me writing again too. :D I'm currently struggling to get out part three of "Scenes From A Mall" before my muse deserts me again. If I work at it I can finish it tonight and get it sent out to my beta, hopefully to post tomorrow. In this installment: Nicole opens up to Terry via astronomy.

OMG you must let me know what you are planning now!

Chapter 2 of "Once Bitten" and Something Other, whatever it ends up being titled. Heee...

Yay! Astronomy! Hey, did you know that actor and actress played a couple in some movie called "wrong turn"? It's pretty awesome, actually, and it reinforces that ship, what-what. Yay! Story!

Erk, I guess you need to be a part of that YahooGroup. It's a DOTD Ana/Michael ficlet from the silverlake-f mailing list. Basically it's a list where you can post fics from any and all fandoms, hope someone will review them, and then get them posted on Silverlake's site eventually.

How can you ever have too much Zim?

As for the Dawn of the Dead dvd, did you watch the news report about the spread of the disease? How about the video journal of the guy from the gun store? thoughts?
