Well, now I'm DEFINITELY not fixing that

This morning my cats were ALL OVER ME to get out of bed and feed them. I got up only to discover that they had, in the course of playing with their little fishing rod toy, gotten the toy wrapped around the stool in the kitty room, and they had, by pulling on the end of the toy, dragged the stool to the door and shut it. All just by pulling on the fishing rod. That was pretty awesomely stupid.

But this tops it: I am sitting in the chair in the living room, and I hear short dragging noises. Clearly, they are playing with the stool-trapped toy again. The noises are getting closer and closer to the doorway onto the hall right in front of where I'm sitting. As I watch, Oscar backs into view, tail first, entire body taut as he pulls on the end of the fishing rod toy and the stool (still upright) comes along after him.

I was laughing too hard to get the camera out in time (and by giggling this much, spooked him so he stopped doing it), but I am most definitely not fixing the cat toy just in case this happens again. Because that shit was hilarious, and I need to have a video of it if I can.

That counts as my Day 3 of my happiness meme. Seeing my stubborn cat drag a stool down the hallway, hoping to, what? Disengage his toy from the thing? Made me inordinately happy. Oh, silly kitties!

The ways of cats are strange and mysterious. It's entirely possible that this was his way of going "Ngggfixxng thissss." It was especially funny just because Oscar so rarely dashes after those toys, and here he was most determinedly dragging something about as heavy as he is with his teeth.
