My friends and I just sort of hung out, had dinner, went to a movie, had a sleepover. That was still more fun than spending a fortune on prom.

I balked at the cost of prom. I could have taken a trip to Disneyworld for less money. As was, I got extra spending money on a short rtrip upstate where I got to go to an amusement park and I never had to wear a stupid dress and pretend to like half the high school.
