trinityvixenI forgot to mention that the doctor I saw yesterday said I'm a total freak. I mean, he didn't say that, but I have these in my face. I...always thought it was just my normal jaw? Apparently not. The doctor actually laughed at that a bit and told me not to worry about it. If I had this problem in my ear bones, then I'd have to worry. (Because bone growth in the ear = chipping bones out of your head surgery.)
Exostoses are genetic but also exaggerated by grinding or clenching your teeth. Well, that's me dead to rights, as I'm pretty sure I'm not the only family member with this issue and I frequently wake up with a sore jaw from clenching my teeth at night. (Dentist said I didn't grind, but I'm definitely clenching.)
