Hm, yes. This is why I LOVE Robert Rodriguez. I remember hearing rumors about this waaaay back when Grindhouse was first released, but I thought all hope was dead when Grindhouse failed to bring in the monies.

I remember dying over the Machete trailer--like I did with a bunch of the others but MORE because, dude! It was a real movie! And if anyone could sell me pissed off Mexican, it's Danny Trejo!

When we went to see Grindhouse, I remember turning to the guy next to me and asking if it was a bad sign that I'd be willing to see any of the fake movies if they actually made them. Machete in particular.

I really need to see Robert De Niro and Steven Seagal together on screen at the same time. De Niro would act convincingly and Seagal would clothesline him in a fit of jealousy. It's Rodriguez, you know that's how it would go down.
