Then you go to Elsevier Science Direct to look for a citation and catch one of their 'hot' topics of research: the embarrassment of purchasing condoms.

Okay, yes, we need to make it so people are less embarrassed about condoms so they'll actually use them more, but do we need a study to tell us "People are embarrassed to buy condoms...unless they've bought them before, then it's less embarrassing"? This is like re-inventing the wheel without the benefit of, you know, a wheel to show for it. Yay, people are embarrassed to buy contraceptives in public places! We should do something about that.
