New work continues apace--I'm finally doing SCIENCE!--and my former roommate gets married in under 48 hrs, but I feel like I've nothing else to contribute, really, aside from this meme I practically abandoned. Enjoy!
Day 01 - A favorite song
Day 02 - A song that makes you happy
Day 03 - A song that makes you sad
Day 04 - A song that reminds you of someone
Day 05 - A song that reminds you of somewhere
Day 06 - A song that reminds you of a certain event
Day 07 - A song that you can dance to
Day 08 - A song that makes you fall asleep
I was trying, back when I started this, not to reuse bands. However, "song that makes you fall asleep" is the least complimentary sort of thing to say about a song. It's like, if it makes you fall asleep, why do you keep it in your mp3 collection? I decided to reinterpret it, to compare and contrast it with the previous song--the "song that you can dance to." You can't really get two more opposite reactions to a song, so why not see if I couldn't find the one band that had both? That had the most irresistable toe-tapping song and the one that was a more effective soporific than several Ambien chugged with a glass of red wine? Et voila, Depeche Mode. God bless those boys.
