You know you're working too hard in science when you design a primer and name it "ChR2_WT_F" and it's not until after it arrives and you're making aliquots that you even notice what you did there.
Not on purpose. "WT" stands for "wild type," indicating that anything amplified by this primer isn't a mutant. "F" stands for "forward," which is one part of a forward/reverse primer that will amplify DNA. It makes total sense to have those both in a primer name. Just...yeah, didn't even think about what else it could mean.
