It is my roommate's birthday, so I (and Leonard Nimoy's head) wish him all the very bestest. Today, you may pun in peace, and we all just have to let it happen because it's your day. Here's to someone with whom I have tremendous fun, whether playing board games with (or against, ha ha ha) or just generally shooting the shit about which personages of historical importance we think are Templars. (I still don't get it: if Hamilton is a Templar, and Burr is an Assassin, what the hell is Jefferson?) Here's to someone who reads the maddening forwards I send and sends back pictures of kitties. Here's so a man who geeks out about politics with me and who beats the harder parts of games while I watch so I don't have to!

Have a great one! Happy Birthday <lj user="wellgull">!

Well, we're certainly going to find out now in between climbing the not-so-tall buildings of 1770s Boston.

Since he didn't put up a post himself, transitive Happy B-day, buddy!

Yes, the leaked cover of the next Assassin's Creed game prompted the discussion just today. Good times.

Given Jefferson's opposition to the Catholic church, he will most likely be an Assassin.

Of course, if Hamilton was a Templar, most likely Washington was as well.

At best, Washington was unaligned, just controlled by the Templars.

The real question is: William Penn?

It'd be nice if this were a different branch of the Miles family tree, but you know it's going to wind up being a lineal descendant of Ezio and Altair. No doubt Ezio's kids went to live in France, then a few generations passed, they wound up in Quebec, Mighty Whitey took a Native American bride, and the next thing you know it's Last of the Mohassins.

His family was almost definitely Templar. They were well-placed within the power structure of the English throne and contributory to the royals returning to power. It would make sense that Admiral Penn's mission was actually commanded by the Templars.

Penn himself was likely unaligned, though. He did very little that we know of to disrupt the entrenched power structures, and "nothing is true, everything is permitted" doesn't really jive with being a Quaker.

And as to Ezio's descendants, yeah, you're most likely right, unfortunately. I really hope they do their research and don't confuse the Mohicans and Mohawk, who were enemies and fought on different sides of the Revolutionary War.
