The half-day Birthday report

Twelve hours into it, and so far:

1. Lisa gave me star-shaped post its. I wrote "You're a..." and drew arrows to the point and put it on her forehead.
2. Liz C and Sans woke me up with a phonecall as they were commuting in to work. They were nice and let me get off the phone and go back to sleep.
3. My mother called as I was just getting into 168th, and said, "Oh, you weren't supposed to pick up!" We chatted a few minutes.
4. One of the lab techs here told me I looked taller and prettier today--the first is because of my boots (yay slut boots), and the second because I'm genuinely happy.
5. My boss brought me flowers for my birthday ::tear:: and she said I can go over to the Apple vendor fair today so I can see about stuff to play with for my iPod. I ::heart:: her today.

Will get back to y'all on the second half of the day after dinner with theKathy, Lisa, Carrie, and maybe Eugene.

Sorry, Carrie, but I gotta go with a Zim quote here: "I'm so happy! All the time! It's great!"

I have an iPod Photo too. I'd suggest getting a cover for it (iSkins are popular, but I haven't gotten to look at one firsthand). Other things you might consider are either the headphones with the remote or in-ear headphones. Since it's an iPod photo, you might want to consider the camera connector thingy, assuming you have a digital camera. If you're thinking about using the iPod as a media player for speakers, you might look at the remote control too. There's other cool accessories as well, but I'm mostly familiar with ones to connect the iPod to my car (which isn't so relevant for you, living in Manhattan and all).
