Jan. 3rd, 2007 11:23 amGIP! Thanks,
darkling1!
Also, I stayed up way too late to watch the last episode of Torchwood (which I stayed up to download and watch, so, yeah, really late), and now I'm tired and burnt out like a mo-fo at work. Perfect time to go and work for hours on end in a tiny room! Woo!
But but but! Really adork-able icon!

Well, I'm uploading the home computer choices for my Starbuck icon, but I'm sorta doing so in a panic as I realize I left my book at the laundromat...with my monthly metrocard in it! I will be dropping in first thing in the morning to try and retrieve it. Damn, I really was getting into that book, too.

Apr. 28th, 2006 04:54 pmIn preparation for posting my
1character piece on Starbuck, I went trolling for some icons on the various LJ lists and found at least one icon maker I plan to repeatedly visit in the future. This is all of the good, and soon I shall have the Starbuck icon I want for my story and I can post it. In fact, my title for the fanfic is tentatively "Nobody's Baby," which was gleaned from an icon I saw way back when I requested Starbuck.
What I'm really making this gratuitious, I-am-so-bored-at-work-it-hurts posting for is to gush. The ladies of Battlestar Galactica are all gorgeous. Not beautiful, though they are that, but incandescent.
I'm a sucker for characters with pathos, sure, but there's something about the women on the show that transcends the men. I'm not saying Tyrol or Adama aren't amazing--they are, and I love them both--but not a single man on the show matches any of the ladies for strength, courage, or character.
Also: they are some of the most beautiful women on the planet. I really, really, really want an icon of Lucy Lawless as D'Anna Biers (even the guest star women are the most awesome on the planet) looking a bit nutty and have the text "God loves me" written on it. Me = slayed.

Archie Kennedy's "60 Things I Must Not Do Aboard a Ship of the Royal Fleet"
And the icons to emphasize why this list is hilarious
Not as funny, but in the same spirit:
