I've been trying to google this and running into a wall. Can anyone point me in the direction of the map of the Allied planets from Firefly/Serenity? I know there's a picture on the interweb somewhere of which planets make up the Core, the outers, etc.

Help a fellow geek out, won't you?

...so, wait, on this one: Where's the planet they visit in the movie, and the "reaver space"? (Trying to be vague so as not to spoil innocent passerby.)

I think it would be way out in the uninhabited territory. They had to go a fair distance to get there, so I think it's probably way out and away from even the outer planets. If you look at the expanded inset map, I think it would be in the purple to red zones.

This is helpful, yes, and thank you, but not the one I was looking for.

Somewhere, associated with Serenity, I think, is not a map, per se, but a listing of the planets in the new solar system. It has two planets blown up really large and backgrounded in one color--I think Sihnon and another--and then each set of planets that are closer to the center are another color, and so on out to the border and border moons and such.

Argh, what happened to it? It might have been in the visual guide, but I know I saw it online, too.

'Tis indeed in the visual companion. It was posted to [livejournal.com profile] firefly_daily here.

At least I think this is what you're referring to.

YOU ARE MY HERO IN EVERY WAY IMAGINABLE!!!!

That is the elusive something I was looking for. Now, I only need to find a better scan of it.

Aw hell, I can squint good enough. Or shell out $20 for the visual guide. Why not? I'm being paid to take the day off and being paid by my father to compensate, so splurgification!

One more time: YOU ROCK IN AN EXTREME MANNER.

Are you looking for something specific? I own it, and can beat the individual I loaned it to until he gives it back. :P

But, really? Get the book. It's a lifesource. As I'm beginning to think the RPG is because of the detail it goes into about the 'verse. Damn them.

Yes, I want it any way, so I will probably buy it. I'm not looking for specifics, unfortunately, but broader knowledge. So, don't go beating anyone up. I condone violence, but not this time.

It's like...you know the Maidenhead? When the crew walks down the stairs, there's a woman in neon-yellow fishnets who's only exposed at the leg. I know Joss Whedon knows why that's so, and I want to know things like that, too.

I am, in short, obsessed and going slightly mad. But only slightly, really.

Wow, that's cool. Thanks.

The planets circle a type O sun?!? OK, that makes no sense at all, but whatever.

The entire solar system is a bit off if you really want to look at the hard science. Even terraforming wouldn't go far enough to explain how some of those worlds would be able to support the life they do.
