Now, read this article in the New York Times and tell me how anyone with half a brain shouldn't be mostly insulted by the "Ooh, but wait! Don't jump to conclusions!" nature of it. A scientific report is nuanced you say? Shocking! Taller people aren't necessarily smarter? Get out! Taller people might just be better nourished and therefore have access to the things that a richer diet implies--caring, attentive parents with money enough to support their education? Fantastic!
Okay, I'm a scientist again. WHAM! That was the sound of me beating my head against my desk. Excuse me while I do a few more rounds... ::headdeskheaddeskheaddeskheaddesk::

Saw Evil Dead: the Musical last night. Very silly, fun time had by all an sundry. Didn't stay for the Q and A with the ladies of the first movie because I honestly have no idea who they are. If it were the chick from Army of Darkness, I would, but yeah, not so much. Had a devil of a time not flinching when they spurted the fake blood out over near us even though we were out of the splatterzone. Guy playing Ash did credible job, good for him, that's a tough pair of shoes to fill. Very skinny though--I like my Bruce Campbell and his impersonators to have a little meat on them. Skinny, actually, is my complaint against the whole cast. Damn, I have never felt heftier next to the leading ladies with their two-inch thick waists and fairly substantial muscles. Damn actresses.
