Sigh. Getting a paycheck is so depressing. I still get the sense that I'm not getting enough, but I'm sure if I inquired I would be told that the pittance they're paying me is what I am due. I guess I'm just pissed because it's so little after they take out union dues and my one pre-tax benefit, my transit benefit, is something I can't use until I get a card and can't get back for not having used for the past two months because I don't have this card. It's a truly bizarre system. Also, I am all yay-union, but really, temporary employees like me? Do I really have to? I was told I was non-union support staff when hired, there is that option in my 'benefits in brief' folder, can't I just be that and take my chances with getting fired? $40 a month is a lot for something I don't use to support that guy I met at orientation who couldn't explain to me why my hiring was so fucked up or fix it. If he can't fix this, why should I pay dues?

In other news, RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE, Loews 34th Street, 10:30 pm this Friday, who's in? Come on, come on, don't make me break out the e-mail lists again. That's strictly May-Movie territory.

Again, I'm in. Are you buying a bunch of tickets or should I get my own? Either way is fine with me...

I totally wish I could come to RE, but I'm supposed to go to a housewarming that night *and* need to be teaching in the Bronx the next morning by 9:30... :(

My girl-crush on Milla will probably outrank my laziness at getting into the city. Do we think it'll sell out or will we be able to get tix at the theater?

This is gonna be a buy-your-own folkses. But please do come!!! I am betting on being able to get at the theater, but I wouldn't count on it.

I'm going to be sure I get mine in advance of right before the show that evening. I'll prolly leave work, go home, drop crap off, then go to Midtown and read comics and get dinner after picking up a ticket there.

I recommend people Fandango this one. I'm not buying the tickets in advance this time.

I remember seeing The Fifth Element back in high school and thinking to myself: This is the single hottest woman in the world, what am I going to do now... everything's gonna be downhill from here. She's still the only celebrity I ever really had a thing for. I will try to come.
