trinityvixenI never thought I'd make it through any interview with Bill O'Reilly. Then I watched The Daily Show:
Jon Stewart just served his blowhard ass to him on a plate. I love that he cuts right through the bullshit (which is basically the only thing O'Reilly has to offer) and still remains friendly. Perhaps his most significant achievement? By merely being in the room with him, Jon Stewart makes Bill O'Reilly not screechingly intolerable from the second he walks on the set. Amazing.
And Stephen Colbert is adorable. You heard me.

Date: 2008-11-15 07:35 pm (UTC)The jaw-dropping moment for me was his insistence that Jon Stewart would be murdered if he left the northeast. That's not ominous or anything. It reflects really poorly on the "real America" he thinks he speaks for, so he's insulting them. He's also telling (as Jon Stewart kept pointing out) the little Jewish guy that he's not welcome in the rest of the country. (There's also the fact that no one mauled Bill O'Reilly for coming into territory where he wasn't welcome...)
