I used to be more of a practicing Catholic, and I tried following the letter of Church law as best as I could. Hence all of the Catholic angst. Nowadays, while I'm still religious (which is probably bad for my mental and emotional health), I rarely go to church. I'm probably still a much better Catholic than most of those I know who are still church-goers and bible-thumpers. I don't think I'll ever abandon it, I do believe in God and my version of God has a scorecard.
