Feb. 28th, 2006 05:00 pmThere are times when I get ridiculously simple joy out of my work. For instance, the smell of transfer buffer after it's been subjected to a current of 400mA for hours...it's intoxicating.
Then I go into the cold room and see what look to be brains in a tube. Scratch that, they're mouse fetuses in a tube! SICK!

"There are a lot of women amateur [astronomers]. They just don't often pose for pictures.
Guys do, and that's probably a guy thing, like with their cars."
