This is a spoiler for Heroes. So, okay, I must put it behind a cut. But you must promise me to read it because I'm flipping the fuck out.

Meet Sylar's Daddy.

HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME? I WAS ALL SET TO WISH YOU INTO OBLIVION AND NOW YOU HAVE CAST THE MAGNIFICENT BASTARD AND I CAN NEVER STOP WATCHING.

No, seriously, y'all, I LOOOOOOVE John Glover. I first saw him on the soon-canceled Brimstone playing the Devil. THE LITERAL DEVIL, AND IT WAS LITERALLY AWESOME. (Biden-speech for the WIN!) I can't remember much else about the show, but I remember one exchange where he was defending himself (SATAN WAS) against the accusation that he liked any thing: "The only thing I ever loved was God." (a beat, then, more horrified) "And that was a long time ago."

OH HAI, JOHN GLOVER, I LOVE YOU. I HAVE MISSED YOU SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE YOU ON SMALLVILLE NO MORES.

Okay, back under control of myself now. I shouldn't get too excited. They will only find a way to RUIN this the way they have EVERYTHING ELSE. Not to mention I'm a little over the "Bad Dad!" story line. Seriously, no one aside from Claire has had a nice father, and I'm convinced that if Mr. Bennet weren't Jack Coleman and he wasn't a main character on the show, he'd be a Bad Dad. They occasionally try to make him seem like one. But since Claire's a BRAT, and a poorly written one at that, anything she throws in Mr. B's face is re-cock-u-lous and he looks even better.

John Glover has a musical sort of voice, so I'd look forward to that.

And surely your happy that Sylar is starting to go psycopathic again?

Of course--it makes more sense for his character and I enjoy him crazy a lot better.

=)
Killing off El was slightly unusual for him, since he already had her powers, but I have little doubt she had other knowledge that he'd find useful in her head. Plus, she was damned annoying.

I'm bloody glad that Arthur copped it, he was FAR too much Deus Ex Machina in one small package. Tracking people accross time and space, killing the unkillable, yadda yadda.

What're your feeling on the Haitian? I personally thought he was far better as a silent, stoic, on the sidelines and removing powers, and not a combatant, rather than this charging into the fight and ripping people's minds out of their heads that he is at the moment.

I don't approve of over-use of the Haitian, but he's arguably the most powerful guy on the show and they've managed not to notice that. As soon as they do, I'd probably not like him any better than Peter or Arthur. But I like him better as a fail-safe than a main character, really.

Exactly, he's supposed to be a freaking scary support character, one who even super ubers should be fearing, but using him the way they have just... cheapens it, drastically. As far as I'm concerned him needing to struggle to contain Arthur's powers, and then losing, just cheapens it even more.

Perhaps thats why he worked so well with Bennet. Bennet goes Bastard on anyone needed, Haitian prevents those pesky supers from having an unfair advantage.
Or perhaps he prevents the supers from being on even footing with the man who has an inherent unfair advantage...
